His work has been exhibited in Europe, Australia, and the USA.
Since returning to Sydney in 2018, he has freelanced for various clients and publications where his art is seen by the thousands.

Orda's pursuit in drawing and painting realism from his imagination
has lead him to develop a robust teaching method.
One that combines art fundamentals training based on the European Academic method with individual creativity.

Established in the beginning of 2021 (formerly as theArtmind), Fundamentalist Live Online Artschool offers students live classes with a real classroom environment where Orda can see his student's artwork in real time and therefore able to help them develop at their own pace with live feedback and support.

Once enrolled, students quickly see improvement in their fundamental skills and their ability to draw and paint from their imagination, which is a key element in becoming a successful painter, concept or comic artist.

Hi, my name is Orda. I am an artist trained in Julian Ashton Artschool in Sydney and Florence Classical Arts Academy in Italy. Fundamentalist Live Online Artschool was launched in 2021 so that artists can have access to professional academic art training wherever they are. 

13 years ago, in 2009, I was exactly where you are right now, I had a burning desire to become a professional artist, I wanted to exhibit and sell my art. I wanted to create concept art, characters in vivid fantasy worlds. I wanted to get commissions and paint amazing portraits in oil colours. I even still have my work-in-progress manga story from those days. My addiction to art was like a wildfire that consumed all my time, energy and money. I was buying graphics tablets, brushes, and sketchbooks. I even quit my day job to devout myself completely to drawing and painting, I just was not interested in doing anything else. Some of my best friends who were kind enough to stay friends with me all these years, still occasionally complain that I abandoned them back then in favour of staying home to sketch.
They were right, art took over my life completely.

It is in those initial years that I went through countless YouTube videos, online tutorials, books by famous artists to learn as much and as fast as I can. Some of them were very helpful, but it is not until I met my brilliant teachers in the 2 great art schools I went to that it all finally clicked for me. Form, shape design, composition, colours, these concepts require years of learning, perfecting, relearning, making mistakes and evolving through them again and again..

The role of a professional artist teaching you, giving you 1 on 1 feedback and
being available to you everyday cannot be understated.

I still recall exact moments my teachers gave me specific feedback and tips that changed my understanding of art for the better. Without them I'd be reinventing the wheel and wasting years of my time trying to become proficient at the art fundamentals. Because reading, viewing is one thing, applying it all in practice is another, that is why your teacher must know you well, they must have a 1 on 1 bond with you to be able to guide you, and improve you.

But not everyone can just pause life for 4 years, spend all their savings, even move abroad to gain the skills required.
I was very lucky to have the means and the support of my family to do all that, but it is not feasible for most of us.

With this in mind, Fundamentalist opened its door to students who want to learn art properly, who has that same burning desire to improve, who want to draw anything in any angle and size, not restricted by the reference but guided by their strong understanding of form, structure, composition and colour. 
 

We offer 3 classes, Fundamentals, Figure and Composition. They work together to take students from drawing simple cubes, to painting figures, designing characters as well as creating highly detailed compositions from imagination. Through extensive study of references and life, students are able to create original art that showcase strong fundamental skills. This process opens doors to many professions, such as becoming exhibiting artists, illustrators, comic or concept artists for the entertainment industry.
 

We considered various forms of class delivery, including video courses. But concluded that in order to deliver the highest quality of art education, our classes had to run live, so the teacher can see what the student is doing in real time, are they copying the what is in front of them mindlessly? or are they going through an observation to decision making process. Students need to be able to ask questions as they arise, and get feedback then and there without going off in the wrong direction and waste time. Even after each class, the students are encouraged to post work in progress artworks on our school platform for teacher feedback. 
 

The class size had to be small, no one can learn and grow in a class with hundreds of students, even 20 is too many as the teacher simply will not have time for each student. Having only up to 9 students enables us to pay ample attention to each student and provide them with a personalised progression plan based on their level and goals. While still retaining a classroom environment where the students can inspire each other and even collaborate in the future.

Art fundamentals is a rite of passage for every artist, it is the strong foundation that will get your foot through the door, and help you along your entire career.
